FAQ about Reference Point Therapy - courses

What Reference Point Therapy courses are available?

There are 3 courses in the Reference Point Therapy curriculum:

  • Level 1: Healing That Works
  • Level 2: Advanced Reference Point Therapy; and
  • Mastering the Miraculous (formerly titled Intuitive Anatomy).

We also teach the Manifesting and Abundance course where you will learn to truly master the art of manifesting and abundance to start living the life of your dreams. We also occasionally teach Crystal Journey courses. This course teaches you how to use crystals to develop your intuition. Both the Manifesting and Abundance course and Crystal Journey course are complementary to, but not part of, the Reference Point Therapy curriculum.

What is covered in the Reference Point Therapy courses?

The first Reference Point Therapy course (Level 1: Healing That Works) teaches all the core Reference Point Therapy techniques. The focus is very much on getting to the bottom of things - showing where the deepest "hidden" trauma and blocks lie, and clearing them.

You will learn how live powerfully re-create your life through changing patterns and manifesting a new reality.   The course includes a number of other healing techniques for dealing with physical and emotional conditions, and a number of exercises to aid intuitive development. You can see the complete Level 1 course content by clicking here.

The second Reference Point Therapy course (Level 2: Advanced Reference Point Therapy) introduces a number of profound healing techniques. The aim is to build your skills, confidence and intuition. The Level 2 techniques are much faster and simpler (working more intuitively and without relying on counselling or regression techniques). It is necessary to know the Level 1 material before studying Level 2. It is ideal to learn the 2 courses back to back in 4-5 consecutive days (where available).

In addition to teaching accelerated techniques, the focus of Level 2 is also on your own spiritual development, achieving higher states of consciousness through clearing key points of trauma.  For the full Level 2 outline, click here.

Mastering the Miraculous (formerly Intuitive Anatomy) is an intense 10 day course focussing on life mastery. In this in depth course you will clear every single aspect of your life. For instance we guide you through powerfully transforming your relationships, your boundaries, your abundance and your physical body. You will clear any old abuse, anger, regrets or other negativity. This is a profound and completely life changing experience. Mastering the Miraculous is highly recommended both for those wishing to be healing professionals, and for those seeking unique and life changing personal growth. For more information click here

What do you need to do to be a qualified Reference Point Therapy practitioner?

The first Reference Point Therapy course certifies you to practice Reference Point Therapy. It teaches you the key tools to practice on yourself and your friends. If you plan to see clients professionally you are advised to take the Level 2 course.

The third Reference Point Therapy course, Mastering the Miraculous (formerly Intuitive Anatomy), is one of the best and most intense training course available in the world for alternative health practitioners. It is an amazing course for building your intuition and teaching you how to confidently help anyone, with any type of condition. While we highly recommend this course, it is not a pre-requisite for being a practitioner.

Who teaches the courses?

Most of the courses promoted by Healing That Works (formerly Theta Magic) are taught by Simon and Evette Rose, the creators of Reference Point Therapy. For more information about our teachers, click here. Typically Simon is assisted by a number of other qualified teachers. Depending on the class size there may be 2-5 teachers in the room (and generally no more than 25-30 students).

We might occasionaly promote a course by another teacher. This fact, and information about these teachers will always be provided on the website and at the time of booking.

What sort of people attend Reference Point Therapy courses?

We have been successful in our aim to bring Reference Point Therapy to a much broader audience.   (To read about our aims click here ) The courses are attended by people of all ages and occupations.

When Simon first studied healing, the typical class was 90-95% female with an average age of about 45. Most people were already professional healers (Reiki masters, kinesiologists, nurses, psychologists, etc).

Simon, as a male ex-lawyer, teaches a much broader demographic than is usual in healing courses. As well as other healers, Simon's courses attract a large number of professionals (lawyers, bankers, engineers, teachers, photographers, and everyone else from flight attendants to receptionists). The age range is much broader, with many more students and young people attending the courses.

After training in an environment where he was usually the only guy in the class, Simon is rapt that his classes are about 40% male, something previously thought impossible. This creates a much easier learning environment for all participants through increased balance in the group.

What concessions are available?

Theta Magic's policy is that price should not be an obstacle for anyone who feels truly called to do this work.

Concessions are offered to make it easier for people who are not working full time to take a Reference Point Therapy course. Concession rates are available on application to any genuine concession holder (eg student, pensioner, health care card, unemployed).

Where someone wishing to take a Reference Point Therapy course cannot afford the concession rate, we will do our best to make an arrangement with them. This is always determined on a case by case basis with the individual. Payment (instalment) plans are also available in special cases to help people pay for the course.

Please understand that our concessions are available "on merit". Just because you happen to have (for e.g.) a student card doesn't entitle you to a concession if you can afford to do the course. We would rather give the concession to someone who doesn't have a special card but truly needs it. Please ask for a concession if you have a genuine need.

What do I need to do to prepare for my healing class?

There is nothing you need to do to prepare, apart from getting a good night's sleep before the class. Things to bring include a water bottle, light jumper, pen and notebook. Come prepared to broaden your mind - well beyond what you believed was possible!

How do I bring Reference Point Therapy to my city?

We love to travel! If we don't have a class in your area, we invite you to Sponsor a Reference Point Therapy class in your area.

FAQ about Reference Point Therapy - consultations

What IS Reference Point Therapy?

Reference Point Therapy is an amazing new set of techniques that allows you to truly get to the bottom of things. Wherever you may be stuck (physical, emotional or spiritual) problems, we'll help you see where the problem came from and why, and then we'll heal it, quickly and easily. The process is fast, gentle and fun.

How does it differ to other healing tools (Theta Healing / spiritual healing / Reiki / kinesiology / etc)

Reference Point Therapy is a tool for elevating consciousness. It involves a combination of intuitive and questioning tools to get to the true underlying cause of a condition. Once the origin is identified, it is cleared by re-aligning the "reference point" or association that was made at that point. This is done either by the practitioner through their "Beingness" (higher consciousness) or by the client by their own will. Whilst this is, in a special sense, very spiritual, this is NOT a form of spiritual healing. In fact we disagree with many of the principles of spiritual healing!

Generally spiritual healing involves concepts like prayer, channelling energy, balancing chakras, clearing meridians, etc. Reiki, Qi Gong, Pranic healing and spiritual healing all involve the use of subtle energies to bring about an energetic change in the client. This clearly can help some people (the existence of these established modalities proves that they have at least some success). However the results tend to be impermanent and somewhat hit-and-miss (i.e. it's hard to predict when an instant healing will occur.) Although it is way beyond the scope of this website, there are also some dangers involved in channelling energy or working with higher consciousness, especially if the practitioner had not cleared enough of their own blocks to be a truly clear channel for their client.

Reference Point Therapy is a very different approach to healing. There is no channelling of energy through the practitioner, or even direct from "Source" to client (as happens in Theta). Reference Point Therapy empowers the client to heal themselves, by re-connecting them with their own divine power. When the trauma is cleared all the energy blocks / chakras / meridians etc are cleared, so there is no need to take the unpredictable risk of doing energy healing.

The difference in the end is in the practical outcome. Simon and Evette are so confident in their results that they demonstrate instant healings live in class and at their free introduction talks. We know of no other teachers of ANY technique who have had the confidence or the success to "put their money where their mouth is" and demonstrate an instant physical healing to a sceptical public audience. We have also hosted a number of demonstration videos on this website so you can see for yourself what we do.

How does it differ to Neuro Linguistic Programming / Time Line Therapy

NLP, and specifically Time Line Therapy, is probably the only technique that has a passing resemblance to Reference Point Therapy. The resemblance is superficial, in that what goes on "under the bonnet" is fundamentally different.

In the Level 1 Reference Point Therapy we use a regression type technique similar to Time Line Therapy to find the origin of a person's blocks. However we get to a very different place than is reached by using Time Line Therapy. Our technique is loosely modelled on Grant McFetridge's Peak States work. Specifically, as with the McFetridge model, we find that nearly all blocks are caused by inherited trauma, most of which occurs or exists in the cell at conception. We have found (as did McFetridge's PhD) that Time Line Therapy does not get to the true origin of a person's condition. This explains why the results with NLP are not always profound and instantaneous. This is not a criticism of NLP, which is an amazing body of work, just a distinction in where we believe the origins lie, based on recent scientific research.

In the Level 2 Reference Point Therapy course we teach a much more intuitive approach to healing in which the practitioner "sees" for themselves the underlying trauma and allows it to change. There is no need to make the client to any regression, which is the slow aspect of Time Line Therapy.

Most importantly, the actual healing work bears no resemblance between NLP and Reference Point Therapy. There is no need for the client to use positive imagery, imagination or will power. Rather, the trauma is instantly cleared as soon as the true origin is found, by realigning the original anchor or reference point. The concept of anchors is not new, but we have found a way to clear them instantly. We guide the client to connect with their sense of "Being" and come back to alignment. Or, the practitioner does this for the client instantly. In either case the result is an instant and dramatic change.

The biggest difference is in the results. Reference Point Therapy clients usually experience an instant change or benefit. We have not seen this occur with any other healing modality. To view a video demonstration of an instant physical healing using our "slower" Level 1 technique click here.

How many sessions might be required?

This is something of a "how long is a piece of string question"! We can only give the most general guide here. One of the biggest advantages of Reference Point Therapy as an alternative healing technique is that people respond very quickly to just a few sessions.   We believe that it is the fastest healing technique available.

In Simon's experience, clients wishing to resolve a specific spiritual or emotional issue often require only one session. However a follow up session may be required - usually a week or fortnight after the first.

Where healing is sought for an illness or physical challenge, the number of sessions depends on the emotional (rather than physical) complexity of the condition. After just one session you might find that enough emotional blocks have been removed and the body can quickly heal itself.   Sometimes a number of sessions are required. The emotional complexity of a condition often bears no resemblance to how serious it is from a medical perspective. For instance cancer is frequently attributed to an emotional shock and often responds quickly to one treatment. By comparison an old back injury may have complex emotions associated with it and might require several sessions. It is very rare that a condition requires more than 3 or 4 sessions.

When you book a healing consultation with us, we will do our best to provide you with a realistic estimate of what will be involved. However please understand that everyone is different and we can't guarantee what results you will experience.

How quickly can I expect to feel results?

Many people experience instant results from Reference Point Therapy. Emotional and to some extent spiritual changes are normally felt instantly. Physical changes are often instant but not always. You should expect pain levels to change instantly but acute conditions may require more time. Even if 3 or 4 sessions are required in total you should expect to feel different from the first session onwards.

Where Reference Point Therapy is being used to assist the treatment of a medical condition, we advise waiting 1 - 2 weeks before undergoing further medical tests to allow the body to fully integrate the healing.   We have seen numerous instances of medical tests and scans (X-rays, MRIs etc) showing drastically different results when taken just before and 1- 2 weeks after a Reference Point Therapy session.

How does the medical profession respond to these sort of results?

The most common response our clients receive from their doctors is "Whatever you are doing, keep doing it, but I don't want to know about it!". Some doctors are more open than others. Some specialists, especially those dealing with cancer patients, are used to clients seeing alternative healers and may even encourage it.

Increasingly doctors are so impressed by the results their patients achieve that they enrol in a Reference Point Therapy course. We have taught several doctors, including specialists. Our high profile students and international promoters include a Professor of Genetics and Cellular Biology, a neurologist and an orthopaedic surgeon. There are a lot more doctor-healers than you might think as they tend to keep their qualifications confidential.

We are fortunate to have a few medical practitioners in Australia and overseas who are familiar with our work. We occasionally refer our clients to these "healing -friendly" practitioners, for instance to prescribe a medical scan to validate a Reference Point Therapy healing. If you know a "healing-friendly" doctor in your local area, please let us know so we can update our database.

What do I need to do to prepare for my healing session?

The only thing you need to do is work out what you want to work on. If you can, have a think about whether there is a pattern involved, eg have you experienced similar issues / concerns before, such as in your childhood? Don't worry about this too much as we'll discuss this at the start of the session.

Are there any side effects?

There are no side effects of a Reference Point Therapy session with an experienced practitioner.

Reference Point Therapy does not cause a "healing crisis". There is no reason why symptoms or feelings should get worse before they get better. For some reason most other alternative therapies suggest that these side effects are necessary in order to detoxify the body. (For example click here to see "Understanding the Healing Crisis" by Ginger Chalford, Ph.D ). Reference Point Therapy is a way of detoxifying the body without any such side effects.

What is a distant healing?

Distant healing is a term that refers to a healing session where the practitioner and the client are not in the same room together.   Reference Point Therapy sessions are often conducted over the telephone or by Skype.

Whilst is may seem strange that a Reference Point Therapy practitioner can help someone so profoundly over the telephone, consider that Reference Point Therapy does not involve any physical contact or direct connection between practitioner and client.

Can an atheist receive a Reference Point Therapy?

There is no belief requirement to give or to receive a Reference Point Therapy. The treatment is not "spiritual" in the traditional sense.

Will Reference Point Therapy interfere with my religious / spiritual views?

Reference Point Therapy is practiced by people of all religions and spiritual views. Reference Point Therapy is a form of healing which is spiritual in essence, but not in any particular form, practice or language. It is not a religious or spiritual school.   There is no reason why it would conflict with any religious views.

What can you treat with Reference Point Therapy?

In principle all emotional, spiritual and physical conditions can be assisted with the aid of Reference Point Therapy. In relation to physical healing in particular, Reference Point Therapy practitioners have had amazing success with a range of conditions considered incurable by Western medicine. This includes cancer, MS, diabetes, herpes and autism.

To be precise (and for legal reasons), Reference Point Therapy does not claim to "cure" these diseases since "curing" is a word reserved for the medical profession. In the USA only doctors are permitted to use this word. American healers have to buy a Minister of Religion licence to legally enable them to see clients for healing (prayer). Simon is a Minister of Religeon fur the purposes of his American clients and workshops (this is not legally recognised outside the USA).

We can tell you that Reference Point Therapy has enabled a large number of people with serious and supposedly incurable conditions to lead symptom-free normal lives. These people are real and they have before and after medical tests to demonstrate the results.

Is it OK to see my naturopath / chiro / healer as well as do Reference Point Therapy?

Reference Point Therapy is complementary in nature, it does not interfere with any medical or alternative healing therapies.
